February saw the first round of our 2026 season and our first year running under KX. We would like to say thank you to all that joined us for what was a rather moist day.

71 drivers joined us in Round 1 and let's start with Bambino! This year we have chosen to run the MightE Bambino class. We were joined by 7 drivers to which after 3 heats and 1 final, our 2 trophy winners were Stanley Thurston who took 2nd and Jules Nash who took home the winning trophy.

Moving onto Cadets. The smaller grids of this round consisted of 2 Honda Cadet 200 drivers of Rio Fry and Callum Gaine and 3 Rotax Cadet drivers. Two trophies were up for grabs between the two classes, and with the battles in each cadet class, Rio Fry took the Cadet 200 win with Wilfred Tomlinson taking the Rotax Cadet win.

We were joined by the Tillotson T4s for the first time this year. A new class for us with a lot of new and familiar faces joining. Angus Langley took the win for the T4 Juniors and in Seniors Brad Philpot took the win. If you are interested in a Tillotson T4, please get in contact with The Kart Shack (located at Clay Pigeon) for more information, many different packages are available for Juniors and Seniors.

We were glad to see Intermax back out in full force. The grid consisting of 10 drivers, one of those drivers being Ben Hunt. Not only was he fastest in practice, he was also the winner for all heats and the all important Final! Finishing 4 seconds ahead of his competitor Oscar Churches.

Okay, onto the Junior Rotax. With a grid of 13 drivers, we had 4 trophies up for grabs. Those went to our winner, Cash Harris who finished 0.02 ahead of 2nd place of Kirk Caplen. 3rd went to Joshua Jestin and 4th Sammy Churchill.

And lastly the Senior Rotax. The larger grid of Round 1 with 18 drivers competing in the damp. Luke Richards taking 1st, Lucas Howell (back on the grid after missing a year with us) taking 2nd and Bertie Wellesley taking 3rd.

So with that said, why should you come and race with us this year?

With our race meetings we always aim for as much track time as possible. Most meetings we aim for 8 minute heats with a 12 minute final. That's a lot of track time for your money! Speaking of money, we kept the entry fees the same as 2025 keeping it good value for money.

With being at Clay Pigeon Raceway, there is the ability to stay overnight throughout your weekend, at no extra cost, from Thursday to Sunday. Toilet and Shower facilities which are 24hrs. Plus during the day the luxury of the on site Cafe with hot food and drinks from 8:15am. Pizza being the hot topic.

The Kart Shack, newly opened, hosts a wide range of parts for all competitors. Being on site allows you to carry less to the meeting and making it easier for getting and bits if something goes wrong! (Not to jinx it). Contact them via the circuit on 01935 83713.

Clay Pigeon also host 2 practice days before our event. Friday and Saturday boasting plenty of track time for you to get ready for Sunday racing.

Hotel? No problem. Clay Pigeon isn't a hotel, but lives next to one! The George Albert Hotel is a tiny 5 minute walk away from the circuit, so a comfortable lay in on race day could be possible.

So, what are you waiting for. Join us on March 8th for Round 2!
