Round 2 – April 2015

Welcome back to Clay Pigeon Kart Club for 2015 and welcome to all new and old members.

Firstly the Clay Pigeon kart club would like to extend a warm welcome to all those competing in the opening round of the TKM Southern Championship, the NKRA Formula Blue and Junior Blue drivers along with those competing in their second Club Championship Round. We do hope you all have a good weekends racing and that the weather remains fine and we don’t have to suffer the low cloud we had last month. The Club would like to thank all the officials for their efforts last month and the drivers for keeping the meeting moving without red flags and other stoppages.

We still require people to assist with signing-on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. No experience is required – we are sure that there must be some Mums, Dads family members (providing they are aged 16 or over) out there who are willing to assist by volunteering an hour or two of their time. Please remember that without those willing to give their time this club would not have to rely totally on the few willing to assist.

IMPORTANT REMINDER – Cancer Research Charity Event – Sunday 12th July 2015. On the Saturday evening we are having a hog roast as well as a kart simulator and other activities. We are also hoping to run a soapbox challenge similar to the Red Bull Challenge, so get building your soapbox now!! There will be cash prizes as well as trophies for Best Soapbox, quickest run down the course, which will include ramps, chicanes and other obstacles, and best fancy dress.

Finally, you can see our new building is progressing well but, it is causing a few problems for those with pit spaces behind the signing-on building but we have managed to relocate those involved. We have fenced around the building site, building materials and equipment and must ask you not to go inside the fence or the building as there are many hazards likely to cause injury.

SO ONCE AGAIN

GOOD LUCK AND HAVE A SAFE MEETING!
