Well, that was quite the return..

There is a lot we could say about Round 6. Most of the racing was exactly what we expect from our drivers; close, hard, wheel to wheel racing, right the way down to the line, as proved in our Cadet races.

Unfortunately, we should also address the Elephant in the room. The 4 Red Flags that set the pace for a stressful return to racing, especially the Junior Max first heat. Whilst we will not name the injured driver to respect their privacy, we, the committee, staff and members, wish them a full and speedy recovery.

We pride ourselves with our record of clean, consistent racing, however, we always need to be ready to react when such an incident occurs. Today, we would like to commend our staff, the Circuit and the Medical staff for the way the incident was handled. We would also like to extend our thanks to the Paramedics in attendance from the South Western Ambulance Service and the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance who were in attendance to treat and prep the driver for transit to hospital. Lastly, we would also like to thank all of you who were in attendance today for the patience and respect shown during the delay.

All of the results from Round 6 can be found over on our results page at https://results.alphatiming.co.uk/cpkc/2020/6/

Our next race is Round 7 on 9th August. Online entries are now open over at https://cpkc.alphatiming.co.uk/register

Update: Between writing this and posting it, we have had the Junior Max drivers father get in touch to give us the good news that they have undergone their initial treatment and are now beginning the recovery process. Again, we hope for a full and speedy recovery.
