The Big Weekend is fast approaching with not just 1, not just 2, but 3 sets of prizes available for Round 5 and the Cancer Research Fundraiser event on 12th July.
Its amazing to see entries already trickling in across the board with a couple of noticeable absences: Cadets?? – where are you?! and Blues?! – just a reminder, Tabor Karting and the NKRA are offering up gold sovereigns AND free tires for the Junior and Senior Blues at this event whilst hosting their Gold Sovereign Challenge!
After the belated Committee meeting on Tuesday evening, we can confirm on the attractions list, as well as the Soap Box Derby will be Human Table Football as well as a Bungee run. Don’t forget there will be more to get your teeth stuck into on the Saturday night at the circuit after practice, so make sure you get your entry in to avoid disappointment!
Thank you to those few who have offered to help out over the weekend. Whilst we appreciate you will all have a busy weekend at the circuit and you will all want to enjoy the Saturday evening with everyone else, we do require some more volunteers to help us raise as much money as we can for this worthwhile cause. Any amount of time you feel you can donate will be a HUGE help. Just a reminder that volunteers will get a free portion of the Hog Roast as a way of saying thanks! For anyone who wants to help out but don’t feel they have the time, if you can donate any prizes for the raffle, that would be superb. There will be buckets and/or donation pots around for anyone willing to stick their hand in their pocket to help progress research against these horrendous diseases.
Now – to the headline..
The subject of alcohol on the Saturday night was raised, we feel its worth mentioning that there will not be any alcohol sold on site. Just remember you all have to get up on the Sunday morning! 😛
