Just as we start to calm down after the immense first round of the CPKC championship, our sights are already on Round 2 on 10th April.
The fastest laps and championship tables have been updated after the first round and are now available on our website, so there is nothing getting in the way of making sure we get the entries in and the staff on hand to get a repeat performance of the quality racing you all bought to Clay Pigeon Raceway on Sunday.
Championships
First, some important information regarding the championships. Whilst we have specified classes that we knew we could publish a championship for this year, there is nothing stopping us from holding a championship for other classes, as long as we have the attendance. At present, we are only looking for 5 members in a class who regularly attend the season, to start publishing a championship table. If your in a class who doesn’t regularly have a strong grid here at clay, why not chat to some of the other drivers in your class and get them to sign up – as long as you show up, the championship is there for you!
Formula Blue
Prime candidates for this are the Formula Blues. We know there are a number of drivers in the local area who would love to get back in the seat while between rounds of the NKRA. You are all more than welcome, just get your entries in and get your fellow competitors to do so too.
Entries.
Did you know that you don’t have to pay straight away when you enter? By leaving the online registration page at the point your payment is requested, you can put off paying until you can afford it (or altogether if you would prefer to pay when you sign on). We do regular checks to ensure any unpaid entries are counted and you appear on the entry list.
We know that grids attract grids, and as Derek Hunt mentioned at drivers briefing at Round 1, why don’t we try and attract more drivers this year and push the grids towards the levels we had just a few years ago. The easiest step is to make sure any prospective entries get an accurate idea of the grids we will have to offer. Get your entry in, don’t worry about paying straight away (you still can log back in and pay in the week leading up to Round 2) and lets make a push for the grids we all want to see for the rest of the year.
Rotax
The Regional Championships are go! We are happy to be hosting the first round of the Rotax South West Regional Championship on 12th June. If you haven’t been to the circuit recently, come on down and get some practice in to make sure you get your championship off to the best start possible. Going to race more than one round? – why not take out a membership and get yourself in the running to possibly win a 66 plate Mazda 2 SEL!
So what are you waiting for? – get your entry in, paid or unpaid. Lets get the entry list blooming and show everyone what they’re missing out on.
